Departing from Fez you will begin your ascent into the Atlas mountains
We will pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort in a totally un-Moroccan style built by the French in the 1930s to resemble a Swiss village. Visit the cedar forest in Azrou and see the monkeys in the trees.

Stop: 6 hours
- Arrive in Merzouga around 5 pm, where your guide and camels will be waiting.
- Start a camel trek across the sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi after a short break.
- Enjoy the desert landscape and sunset from camelback.
- After two hours, reach the desert camp and spend the night in a Berber tent.
- At the desert camp, camels are hobbled and mint tea is served.
- Dinner is provided, with vegetarian options available.
- Watch the stars after dinner.
- Overnight in a standard desert tent (option to upgrade to a luxury tent at an extra cost).
Stop: 2 hours
- In the morning, wake up early to walk over the sand dunes and watch the sunrise from behind the Algerian border, about 31 miles (50 km) from Merzouga.

Stop: 6 hours
- Take a 4x4 back to Rissani where you will transfer to a minivan.
- Travel from Rissani to Fez, with stops for rest and lunch along the way.
- Arrive in Fez in the late afternoon or evening.
